About us

An Islamabad- and Skardu-based operator running its own guides, its own vehicles and its own camp inventory across Pakistan, on one contract from the visa file to the farewell handshake.

We run treks, 8,000 m expeditions, jeep safaris and cultural journeys across Pakistan, with the Karakoram and the Himalaya at the centre of what we do. The company is based in Islamabad and Skardu, which are the two places a trip to the high ranges is actually won or lost: one is where the visa file and the flights are handled, the other is where the crew, the vehicles and the loads are.

What we sell is not a route. Routes are public, and the good ones have been walked for fifty years. What we sell is the chain around the route — the visa application, the permits and NOCs, the flights, the ground transport, the guides, the camp, the comms and the evacuation plan — held inside one company, on one contract, with one named person answerable for it. Nothing in that list is handed to a broker we have never met.

That has a cost, and the cost is the point. Guides on a year-round payroll are more expensive than guides hired for a season. Owning 4x4s is more expensive than calling a jeep stand in Skardu the week before. Publishing our standards before a guest pays means losing the bookings where the honest answer was no. We would rather carry those costs than explain, at 4,000 m, why the person in front of you does not work for us.

What we actually own

The chain, and who holds each link

Every one of these is a cost we carry rather than a service we resell. That is the whole difference, and it is the only claim on this page you can hold us to on the ground.

Guides on our payroll

Year round, not hired per trip, with a wilderness first responder on every departure. The lead guide who answers your call before you book is the one who walks with you.

Vehicles on our plates

4x4s and drivers for the Skardu–Askole road and the Deosai tracks, carrying our own spares. A breakdown becomes our problem, not your lost day.

Standards written down

Guide ratios, medical inventory, the acclimatisation profile, the cancellation terms and the evacuation procedure are documents you read before you pay, not after. They are published on this site and linked from every trip page.

A porter charter we are held to

Honest load limits, accident and life insurance on every trip, issued boots, jacket, glasses and shelter, and published daily wages paid in full and on time.

Comms that reach past the road

A satellite phone with every group and a messenger on the lead guide, a daily office check-in, and a message home each evening to a contact you nominate.

One named owner per booking

The same person from the first email to the airport transfer home. You are never handed to a queue, and you never explain your trip twice.

How we price

A flat price on a departure, and a party price if you want your own dates

See the catalogue

A fixed departure carries one price per person, published on the trip page, and that is the price. If you want your own dates we quote by party size, and the per-person figure falls as the party grows, because the guides, the vehicles and the camp cost the same split more ways. Both tables are printed before you write to us.

We do not discount a published price. If the budget does not fit we remove a named inclusion, or we point you at a shorter itinerary, and we tell you exactly which one changed.

Tell us the route and the dates. You will have a full quote within a day.

Or ask to speak to the guide who would lead your departure first. Most people who book have done that call.
